For Pacu I was using 500kg hook and line .. took me 3-4 hrs

For Pacu Bass boilies and Carp boilies works also, 30k setup and higher

i caught 6 of Pacu over 13 kg in less than 40 minutes. carp boilies, 70 kg rod, 50 kg line, and 100 kg hook. standard float and tackle depth 2. hopes this helps.

agree with mrbad, Carp boilies work wonders. They are like, Pacu magnet. :P  And, 100 kg hook works great for this task.
With 100 kg hook and Carp boilies no need any potions, use 10 kg Fishnet.

I got the Pacu's on Dogfood.  More than 1 way to skin a Cat!
