Latest announcement from Go Fishing game team.

Hello Go Fishing players,

We have an important announcement:
After the latest update, you may have noticed that there is now a pop-up ad at certain intervals (every 50 casts) of 'free' (non Skillful fisher status) game play.

To forgo the pop-up advertisements, players can earn ad-free game playing (called 'Skillful fisher') status by making purchase (spend real money on the game), or by some other means as listed below.

As of now, there are several ways to earn your Skillful fisher (ad-free game playing) status so that you can forgo the pop-up advertisements during your game play:

* By making purchase (buying Pearls, Coins, or Premium fishing status, and spend real money on the game).
For each $1.00 spent on the game, player will earn 1 month of Skillful fisher status.

* Through Partner system:
If you add new player(s) to the game through your Partner system account, you will earn Points on your Partner system account when such player adds Go Fishing game or levels up on Go Fishing game or makes purchase (buy Pearls, Coins, or Premium status on Go Fishing game, etc.) and make a payments to the game.

These points will accumulate on your Partner system account, and when you earn enough points on your Partner system account you can choose to turn in these points for benefits on various games, including turning them for Skillful fisher status on Go Fishing game (for every 85 points you get 1 free month of Skillful fisher status, plus 1 free Pearl, on your Go Fishing game).

Note: For more information on how to participate in Partner system, please see our guide for "How to participate in Partner system" to be posted on this Go Fishing page shortly.

* Through Earn Free Pearls offer:
If you participate in "Earn Free Pearls" offer (see upper portion of your Go Fishing game for "Free Pearls" tab) and complete the offer and earn Pearls, for each 1 free Pearl earned you will automatically receive 1 month of Skillful fisher status.

* Additionally, if you have not added your credit card to your Facebook account yet, when you add your credit card to your Facebook account through Go Fishing button on your Skillful fisher invitation window (please look for "The Card" tab), for first time only, you will receive the bonus of 3 months of Skillful fisher status, along with 3 Pearls.

Note: Earned Skillful fisher status is cumulative; for example, if you already have some months of Skillful fisher status, and earn more, the additional months of Skillful fisher status you earned will accumulate and added on to your current length of Skillful fisher status.

We are continuing to explore other viable options for players to earn Skillful fisher status, and we hope to bring you more options in the future; and, planning to have future surveys among Skillful fishers to bring more improvements to the game.

Or, if you are not ready to earn Skillful fisher status, you can continue current game playing with no Skillful fisher status, by viewing pop-up ad at certain interval of your game play (every 50 casts).
Note: Pop-up ad will cease while player is participating in tournaments, for uninterrupted tournament play.

We understand this is a notable shift from the game's long history of providing uninterrupted (ad-free) game play for everyone.
Unfortunately, the game is facing a major crossroad, and to ensure the continuation of providing the game for everyone, this change was a necessary step we needed to make. We sincerely hope for your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you,
Go Fishing game development team

Note: After yesterday's update, we are currently getting many reports from players that pop-up advertisements are showing up during tournaments, team tournaments, or during regular game play for players with ad-free (Skilled fisher) status, or with increased frequencies for non-Skilled fisher players. :(
This has been reported to the game team, and the game team is checking into it. Meantime, we ask for your patience, thank you.
