I caught hundreds of trophy ferox trout but unique zero, does anyone know the spot and the bait...

iv also yet to catch the unique  ferox trout , had the quest for ages ,, also still yet to catch the unique fish on the cooking show..

I finished this quest a while ago.  The biggest Ferox Trout I have caught to date was at Old Castle with Minnows.  Maybe try a Luck Potion?

And for the lingcod?

Quiet Corner, Cold Spot, Black Mountain
With Small fish, Fruit flies, Smelts, Minnows, Dragonflies, Tadpoles, Frogs, Lobster
Or, if using spin, Minnow lure, Isolated lure, Trolling lure, Dung Beetle lure

Try Frogs, or Minnow lure, with Luck potion if you can spare, if using Fish finder, wait for 1 large fish icon.

Pumpkin bait with Luck Potion worked well for me at Bright Moon.

Unique Ferex Trout, Dark Waters, 300 kg hook, Cut bait, use Shrimp Pieces chum to attract
